What kinds of clients does Loam Advisory serve?

We specialize in working with creative and technical professionals—especially those navigating equity compensation, variable income, and career transitions. While we’re based in Los Angeles, we work with clients in a variety of locations.

Is Loam Advisory a fiduciary financial advisor?

Yes. As a registered investment adviser (RIA), we are legally and ethically obligated to act in your best interest at all times. Fiduciary duty is not just a standard—it’s our foundation.

How does Loam Advisory charge for financial planning services?

We are a fee-only advisory firm, meaning our only compensation comes directly from our clients. We don’t accept commissions or kickbacks.

  • Discover (coaching): Fixed fee — $1,000 for individuals or $1,800 for couples

  • Design (financial planning): Project-based fee ranging from $2,500–$5,000

  • Grow (investment management): Asset-based fee, starting at a $4,000 flat annual fee for the first $400,000 managed, with tiered rates above that

Do I need a minimum amount to work with you?

No strict minimums—but our Grow service is best suited for those with $400,000 or more in investable assets, or for clients on a clear path to that threshold.

Do you offer socially responsible investing (SRI)?

Yes. For clients who want their portfolios to reflect their values, we offer custom-built Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) strategies—without sacrificing sound financial planning.

Can I work with Loam Advisory if I’m not in California?

In many cases, yes. While Loam Advisory is currently registered in California, we’re able to work with a limited number of clients in other states under most state regulations.
